The capacity for the village hall is 75 seated and 100 standing. For most events in the hall, this means a maximum of 75 people, and most of the facilities are catered to that amount. 

Tables & Chairs

There are a selection of tables to use at the hall, along with 75 plastic stackable chairs. 

  • 9 tables 183cm x 76cm x 70cm high

  • 3 tables 121cm x 76cm x 70cm high

Kitchen

Access to the hall kitchen is included with any hire. 

  • It is equipped with crockery and cutlery for 75 people

  • Water jugs, glasses and wine glasses are also available

  • 2 full size cookers (4 ovens, 8 hobs)

  • 2 fridges

  • A microwave

  • A water boiler

  • Commercial Dishwasher

  • Freezer - use would need to be discussed and agreed beforehand.

Entertainment

The Hall is equipped with: 

  • Clavinova electronic piano

  • Digital projector

  • Sound system integrated with projector, but also suitable for connection to CD/DVD/Blu-ray player.

  • WIFI

  • Hearing loop

The hall has the standard premises licence for entertainment and the playing of music. 

It does not have a licence for selling alcoholic drinks. If you want to sell alcoholic drinks you must obtain a TEN (Temporary Events Notice) from North Devon Council. 

Toilets

There are toilets located with the hall, including a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities. 

Accessibility

There is disabled access through the back entrance to the hall which backs onto the car park. 

Car Park

Adjoined to the hall is a car park, however it is private property and not owned or managed by the hall. For weddings, it is expected a donation is given for use of the car park to its owner, details of which will given during the booking process. 

Pixie Meadow

Attached to the village hall is an outside space known as Pixie Meadow, which features a child's play area and picnic tables.  For weddings it is available for hire alongside the hall. 

  • The meadow is free to use informally, however, it must be booked if being used for organised activities - such as the serving of food and drink, and the erection of gazebos, tents and marquees. 

  • Commercial Marquee - if you would like a commercial marquee used for your wedding, this must be discussed and agreed prior to booking. 

  • Restrictions

Music: the playing of amplified music in the meadow, whether or not in a marquee, is strictly prohibited.

Fireworks: the letting off of fireworks or Chinese lanterns anywhere on the grounds of the village hall including meadow and car park, is also prohibited.
